Help to Fight Aids and Enjoy a Beautiful Community Walk

A few facts about AIDS/HIV:

  • AIDS is the fifth leading cause of death among people aged 25 - 44 in the United States, down from number one in 1995.
  • About 25 million people worldwide have died from this infection since the start of the epidemic.
  • In 2006, there were approximately 40 million people around the world living with HIV/AIDS.

Even though there has been a reduction in the number of deaths within certain groups, AIDS/HIV infections is raising amoung the young, the elderly and in many countries around the world.

We need to be vigilant until a cure or vaccine is found.

Please support me in the 22nd Annual AIDS WALK MIAMI.  AIDS Walk Miami is a 5K (3.1 mile) walk, run or blade fundraiser benefiting Care Resource, and Food For Life Network Food Bank.

Monies raised will help provide services to over 9,000 of our friends, family, co-workers and neighbors affected/infected with HIV/AIDS in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties.  This annual fundraiser also serves as a vital vehicle to raise awareness and funds to combat the effect HIV/AIDS continues to have on the South Florida region.

Thank you for joining in the fight with me.
